As a test subject in a clinic, the unemployed Dominique takes part in increasingly dangerous tests in order to finance the dream he shares with his girlfriend Janine: their own house in the countryside. But while Dominique struggles with the physical consequences of the medical experiments, Janine slowly loses faith.
