Ghost Train

"Ghost Train" is a rather uneven horror thriller from South Korea. Creative ideas, sit side by side, with mediocre one's, that show little imaginative investment. The notion of a woman turning into a flower is hardly inspiring, whilst the soft drink dispenser story, is actually quite intriguing. This pattern repeats itself over the space of this film, with an ending that's shows a dash of flair but is also wholly predictable. Characterisations share a similar fate. While the layered narrative and multiple cases sometimes overshadow deeper exploration of motive, the film maintains steady tension through atmosphere, strong performances, and emotional consequences rather than relying solely on jump scares.
