How Do Computers Follow Instructions?

“A film about programming”

A child-friendly breakdown of how hardware and software collaborate. Based on the picture book by J.T. Liso, the story explains that computers are not "smart" on their own; instead, they rely on human-written programs to function. Using relatable analogies, it introduces the concept of binary code as a computer’s secret language of zeros and ones. The narrative simplifies complex coding principles, illustrating how variables store data and how loops allow for repetitive tasks. It also explores the relationship between inputs, like clicking a mouse, and outputs, such as an image appearing on a screen. By framing the CPU as a fast-thinking brain that processes these commands, the video demystifies the digital world for young learners. Ultimately, it emphasizes that programming is simply a precise way of giving directions to help technology solve problems.
