Charlie, a notorious serial killer known as the Midnight Mangler finds himself trapped, reliving the same violent night over and over. Initially embracing his grisly urges, Charlie soon becomes desperate to escape the endless nightmare.
Of course this is murder-Groundhog day The twist is nice, very reminiscent of old Twilight Zone, but before you get there you get Groundhog day, but with a serial killer. The setup is enticing, the execution fun while flawed, but it makes it across the finish-line and it is a fun movie. Also great fun to see Master Ken in a movie like this. He, like the rest of the cast, do their jobs well and you feel immersed in this oddball idea.
