Backcountry was based on an actual bear attack. There's never been an attack by a pack if healthy wolves in the western hemisphere, that's why this fantasy was entirely concocted by the writer director, and that's why it falls flat on its face.

If you want to watch an excellent, far more probable scenario involving killer wolves, check out Frozen (2010). 2/10
