The longest filler episode I've watched. There is no reason besides money that this film is nearly 2 hours long. It could've been a 5-10 minute intro to catch people up, but instead they drew it out to have an entire film. With barely any lines to learn, this movie leans heavily on needless action and a confusing plot that leads up to "and next time on The Old Guard". There is no mystery, no real tension, one or two "surprising" revelations, and very little to hang on to. 66/100 The 1st Immortal drags an old friend into all their business and she wants to burn the world down. This is a simple action film which carries on well from the first film. Nothing really remarkable here; the action is fine, the story is mildly complex and everything works for the most part. It's strength is its characters who were all a lot of fun and deep enough to care about. Overall, this is one of those films most people will dislike because it's not on the same level as other action films but we found it to be perfectly fine escapist entertainment.
