The discovery sends shockwaves through the community, reviving the ghost of an unsolved cold case that rocked the town three years prior - the disappearance of Jackie’s niece, Nessa, which cost her career.

Strong cast, intriguing crime thriller, but as per usual let down by dreary DEI baggage. Let's start with the positives: the Welsh setting with a village under siege by rising ocean levels is a little unique. The crime drama, which spans two unsolved murders of children, is darkly disturbing with lots of twists and turns. Equally quality acting offers up well-rounded, often flawed characters. Underwhelming. What could've been a gritty crime drama with a unique setting just gets bogged down by the interpersonal drama of the two lead characters. And I honestly couldn't give a crap about either. The red head one is carrying this bigole pity party on her back cause she stupidly thought her own sister may have killed her own child. And theother dudeid an unapologetic asshole with no clear reason why. Maybe cause he's closeted? Who cares. If this was set in the 90s or aby decade earlier, I'd buy that.
