There's so much at play here, it reminded me a lot of the dynamics of Always Shine and the relationship dynamics between women. I enjoyed the interrogation of sexuality and how it specifically affects queer women and the stigma of being bisexual. Very exciting work here!
When friends Jessie and Belle go away for the weekend and drunkenly hook up, what seems like an awkward slip up to a firmly heterosexual Jessie is in fact an incredible betrayal to bisexual Belle.
